The Return of Tampere United (2016–Present)
In a deeply symbolic moment, the supporters' association successfully took over the original Tampere United club organization. In the lead-up to the 2016 season, the football operations of TamU-K were transferred back to the original entity, and Tampere United officially returned to the Finnish league system as a fan-owned club.
Since their revival, Tampere United has been working its way back up the divisions. The journey has been arduous but defined by the unwavering commitment of the supporters who literally saved the club from oblivion.
